Video above was about the most i had seen him move in several hours.
I've had this fish for 2 years, suddenly he's lost color and his fins have become rougher, he's barely moving all day and has been ignoring food for the past 3-4 days. Even if I disturb him by changing the water or gently poking him with my finger, he just sits there unmoving. He's breathing very heavily, I turned my filter up so it would agitate the water more for oxygenation but he only got worse so i turned it back down to avoid stressing him more. No signs of pineconing but he gets worse every day and completely refuses to eat.e
10 gallon tank, 79f, I'm out of water tests rn but last time I checked all 0. I suspected a water quality issue so I did 2 30% water changes but he didn't improve at all. Planted tank & there is a nerite snail. I've had him for about 2 years, the tank for around 3, and he's been healthy the entire time.
I'm wondering if he'a just dying from old age since he's probably around 2 and a half years old & was bought from a basic pet shop in a plastic cup so its likely that his genetics arent the healthiest. I'm going to try an aquarium salt bath when I get home from school later today if he's still alive, but I'm honestly not really sure what to do 🙁 every day he seems like he gets much worse and his tank seems to be in perfect condition, so I have no idea why. Advice would be greatly appreciated
