I’ve had my kayak stored on these hooks for only about a week and there’s already some denting in my kayak. I’m sure some sun/heat exposure should make them pop out easily, but I’m worried longer storage times in the heat of the summer will cause more severe denting. The pad on the hooks now is already completely compressed at the contact points. Will something like a thick pool noodle help prevent denting?

I bought a foam insulation noodle from Home Depot and added that to the arm. Makes it more softer.
Yeah, don’t use those racks.
2x4s built in a way to store the kayak upside down.
