I have a kayak now that’s 10 foot, it’s an ascend 10 foot sit in. I’m just wondering if I would be able to put a trolling motor on it to make it easier to fish while kayaking and not being blown. You can’t paddle and fish. Or will this just be more of a struggle than using paddles. Any advice is appreciated.

Can’t tell if that thing is actually worth the price but yes it will work. I had to bolt in a piece of 2×4 on my 10ft pelican to make it easier to mount but it’s a common setup on kayaks now.
I’m also in Virginia and added a Bixpy motor to my rudder. License is a very small percentage of the kayaks worth..I pay around $17 per year. Fish the Occoquan and Potomac areas
You can get a brand new motor from Minn kits for $200.
