Aquariums: First Aquarium

Hi everyone! This is my aquarium, I am new to this hobby and would appreciate any advice/opinions on what I could do better.
I got my 45 gallon off Facebook market for 40$, the original silicone was very old so I resealed it on my own.
The plants I have been growing for a couple months, I know I have Cabomba and most recently added water wisteria, however I haven’t been able to ID the stemmed plant next to the skull. If anyone knows what that is please let me know!!

It’s currently stocked with 7 Albino Corydoras, 10 Glass Catfish, and 4 or 5 Ghost shrimp. (I’d like to get more shrimp)
& an ungodly amount of ramshorn and bladder snails
I plan on making it into a “spooky” community tank in the future but I’m still trying to find what species will get along with what I already have, and plan on getting (if possible I hope to get some unpainted glass fish in the future, the fish is so pretty but I don’t want to support color injecting and I don’t know where to find them) id like to get more black or albino fish in the tank. So I’m open to stocking recommendations!

My water parameters are currently
PH 7.4
AMMONIA 0
NITRITE 0.25ppm (I’ve had a bit of an issue with nitrite these past couple days, so I’ve been doing daily 20% – 50% water changes to bring it down, it was at 2 before)
NITRATE 10ppm – 20ppm

I’ve done quite a bit of research for several months so I hope I am doing things right but I’m sure there’s something I could be doing better.
