Thanks for everyone’s help! I’m a first time tank owner, trying to make a home for fish! My tank is COOKIN! Her cycle is definitely doing its thing! My mystery snail back there is stressed after changing the substrate, she slimed the fuck outta my tank last night but isn’t sliming this morning. My tanks PH is down where it needs to be finally. Hopefully this stratum won’t make these numbers swing for too long. 2nd pic is my parameters from today. 3rd pic was my tank yesterday, and the 4th pic is how I started 3 weeks ago.

I changed the substrate yesterday to Fluval stratum, and added 30ml of quick start to try to keep the ammonia in check (not sure it did anything.)

I also added (just a couple of) root tabs and cuttlebone under the substrate yesterday
Now I just have to be patient and keep cooking. Things are on the right track and I’m feeling good about the tank.

Any tips for that ugly black tube from the bubbler in the back are greatly appreciated. (My daughter says we should bedazzle it so I’m hoping y’all have a better idea.)

Also do y’all think my light is bright enough for my plants or should I look into other lighting options for this bad boy?
