I took my Yamaha 2.5 off of my small boat today and tried to put it on my kayak. Does anyone think this will work? The transom for my electric motor doesn’t seem to work at all. I’m attaching photos of what it looks like. Let me know what you guys think.

2 issues immediately come to mind.
1. Clearance, you don’t have it properly secured yet, and the gap to do so appears greater than the clearance of the shaft to your hull
2. Wear/stress on the deck and hull. How much more does it weigh and how much more torque is applied vs intended electric trolling motor, how does that compare to what that yak is rated for/built to (and the bracket itself)
