I have been interested in doing some saltwater kayak fishing but resisted the compulsive urge to drop a bag on something brand new and picked up an older Hobie Revolution 11 off of marketplace. My question for all you reddit anglers are what is the gear that you can’t live without or would strongly recommend? Just for reference I have done lots of fresh water fishing of creeks and rivers in an older sit-in perception but never outfitted it with anything more than rod holders. I do have a good life jacket and am going to stick to some of the salt water rivers and marshes before I tempt anything else. I am located in VA and do some surf fishing and the occasional charter so I do have some very limited saltwater knowledge (more accurately I am aware of the marine angling knowledge I do not posses!)
