Looking for an 8ft carp rod to pair with me Daiwa Freeswimmer 5000 reels. Thoughts on the Fox Explorer rods? They can shrink from a 10ft to an 8ft rod by pushing and locking a portion of the rod into the butt section. Anyone use these rods? Other suggestions for an 8ft 3lb TC rod? Thanks!

This rods are mostly used by anglers that use boats to get their rigs out and also play the fish from the their boat.
