Nailed my keel today dragging my kayak up a little waterfall of sorts on the river near me. Left a nice gouge.
Is this something that I should repair? Can I continue to do this?
I bought this kayak this year and I am going to use the hell out of it. My favorite river is shallow and rocky and there are a few spots that I need to drag it over fast moving water/rocks because I paddle upstream to start my float.
I am sure I am being paranoid, but I want this thing to last but I also want to use it a few times per week. Just seems like a lot of damage for only a few river outings.
