Goldfish are dirty. Make sure you are gravel cleaning/ water changing weekly. Don’t overfeed. These guys can eat a lot and will beg. Don’t fall for it.

Return those fish and get some that are suited for small tanks with jet engine levels of current. But seriously, those fish are not suited for your tanks return and do some research on small tropical fish tanks.

Heads up, goldfish get HUGE, so you’ll pretty quickly need to upgrade this to a tank that is 100+ gallons, otherwise you risk hurting the fish or stunting their growth. Goldfish are honestly.not great aquarium fish, they do better as pond fish. Make.sure to do lots of reading about aquariums, it isn’t as simple as having a box of water you put food on, there is a lot of.chemistry involved to keep fish happy and healthy. With proper care, your goldfish should get up to a foot long and live 15-20+ years. Make sure to ALWAYS Google/research new fish you want to keep to make sure they are compatible.wirh your other fish, your tank size, your tank temperature, and the layout of the tank. Not all fish get along, and all the fish at the pet store are babies and haven’t reached their adult size. Also, don’t trust information from the pet store, 99% of the time it’s crap.

Those fish get really big. So either get a bigger tank for them which will cost a lot. Or give them away and get smaller fish. Try to put real plants and hiding places for those smaller fish.

So the easy things you can do would be to give up the goldfish, get some fast growing plants like hornwart and some fish that love high current. I would do a bunch of hill-stream loaches and male guppy’s
