Picture for visual reference.

I have a rail I can attach for an anchor lock which I'm hoping will make it easier to anchor and even get my anchor back when fishing.

I live right on a river and am dying to fish it, but the current is strong so I basically can't fish it at all without an anchor. As you can imagine I need the anchor near the back because despite being a noob, I'm certain going from the side will get me flipped.

Tying off the back end was an absolute nightmare to get to and I'm hoping this'll make getting my anchor back way easier.

Anyhow where exactly would you guys mount a rail on this for easy access but won't be horrible in the current? The rails only come with standard screws, but I bought some well nuts I can use instead, would you recommend those instead of just drilling in the provided screws?

Appreciate any advice.
