I have this rod and a shimano Sedona 4500 reel. I want to get a bigger reel to put on this thing and take the 4500 and buy another lighter action rod to make two surf combos. What rod would yall suggest for pompano and smaller like fish. What reel would yall suggest I get for this rod that I already have.

Tsunami carbon shield ii is a pretty solid, relatively budget, rod that I love for lighter saltwater fishing
1oz – 5oz for that pole
I would use it as is for a while. Save some money and practice with what you’ve got.
