Surffishing in Corolla, NC last week at night. Cast out and as I reeled in I found this nasty green/tan stuff on my line. Almost impossible to get off. Texture like cotton fiber or maybe like the material from a cigarette filter mixed with sand. I let it dry out in the sun the next day. When completely dry, it was easier to pull off. The little balls in my hand were bits that I pulled off with my fishing pliers.
Does anyone know what it is?
