Found this little guy in my local creek in Western NC where I trout fish, there’s no way this is a trout is it?
Should I keep him or release em, not sure if this one of the guys that eats trout eggs or maybe it's just a weird rainbow?

So definitely don’t keep fish when you can’t positively ID them, that’ll lead to some fun conversations with a game warden lol also if that’s your real name that’s very unfortunate. If it’s not your real name, I have other questions.

Creek chubby. They’ll share a lot of similar habitats.

You don’t want to keep them out of the water for too long. Definitely not a trout. Trout will have parr marks.
