This has been a game changer for me. I had an older fanny pack my wife got me for hiking, so I repurposed it and strapped it around the back front of the seat.
Recently got a larger one and it's been awesome, I keep all of my favorite plastics in one compartment, and frogs in the other. Smaller compartment gets smaller tools and other stuff. It sits low enough where it's not in the way of anything.
Neat little hack if you can't put a tackle box or other gear under your seat.

I did a DIY milk crate chest for the back of mine and stuck a fanny pack at the front (which is behind my seat). #TeamFanny
