I picked up a 2006 Hobie outfitter from a clearing sale a week ago for $85 aud.
Seems to be in pretty good condition.
Mirage drive seem to be in good nic maybe need some new masts or at least straighten one or two of them.
There is one small crack in the top of the hull near one of the paydays beside the front seat, but should be an easy repair.
Only thing is it didn't come with seats, I asked the guy when I picked it up after the auction. He said the seats fell apart years ago and the kayak hasn't been used since his son moved out of home.
Was there an option to get a better seat with a structure in it for these?
Is it worth doing the modifications to put a turkey seat or other similar kayaks in it.
Or should I just get some replacement soft seats like it would have came with originally?
This is my first Hobie so if there's any other suggestions people can make that be great.

There’s no better seat that will drop in. Higher seats will also make it pretty unstable.
