Decent price for first fishing kayak? Comes with everything in second pic. Price in CAD
Also wondering how stable this would be. I’m 5’4, 300lbs.

Honestly I would spend another $1500 and get a Jon boat with a 25hp

I think its a good deal but youll probably want a new battery still. Really you want to ask yourself if it’s a good yak for that price, without getting caught up in the added value of the accessories. You may not want, like, or need some of them and you’ll probably wind up buying your own stuff. Personally, I’d ask if they’d take off the motor and drop the price.
That model slayer propel 10 is one of the best fishing kayaks I’ve used and honestly seen in person. It’s light enough to get on a roof and carry, compared to most similar boats pushing 90 and 100lbs. So no trailer needed. 2900 is a fair deal if the boat is in good shape and the hull, rudder, driver, tracks and seat are all in good working order. If the accessories are in good shape, thays just a sweetner. Check for cracks around the mounts, especially where the landing gear wheels are secured.
I’ve had mine over 12 years and I’ll cry the day it’s done because it’s been a beast, handled many different waters and is nimble. Dragged, dropped, banged on rocks and all the rest. A well built boat indeed. It’s very stable and I can stand a turn around, everything in reach. Like any boat it’s best not to overload with gear to the listed capacity – the closer you get to max weight the more the boat’s performance degrades.
For reference, I’m 6 foot, 205lbs. I’ve taken this boat on a river fully loaded with 3+days of camping gear and provisions inclusing a yeti cooler and good size tackle bag. Did great. Has handled big waves (for a yak) but anything more offshore bound I’d want a 12footer anyway.
