I've taken this new kayak a few times and I was ready to finally drill a few holes and customize it. So I got tired of fish finder wires getting on the way and decided to get them in the hull using the yakattack through hull kit.
Ive been catching lots of fish trolling a 3way swivel rig with a crank bait as the weight and soft plastic behind it. My arms gets tired from holding the rod while pedaling and trolling so I installed the scotty holder with the extension so it is out the way of my legs.
And last but not least. My engel live bait cooler wasnt well secured so I installed small tracks up front to secure it to the kayak. Overkill, basic plastic eyelets would have done it. But having the track could be nice for future mods if I decide to move the bait cooler to the back since I have tons of space back there.
Added a basic side coord to quickly attach leashed gear to it when needed. Such as rods.
I kinda wish I would put the 1inch hole for the fish finder closer to the front but oh well. It works.
I carry the battery inside the hatch under the seat and the front hatch I have a propeller kit in case I need to repair it on the go.
In the tankwell I have my old trusty homemade milk crate with 4 rod holders and I usually throw my kill bag behind it.
And thats it. Dont need anything else really.
