So im two trips in on my new kayak and primarily fish the small river near me. I already figured I'd want an anchor before getting the kayak and was making plans for it and it's clear now im gonna need one. I plan to install a leverlock anchor trolley from yakattack and some rod holders and the only issue in the plan I've reached is what should i do to secure the anchor line? I wanna have a lot of extra line just in case i fish deeper water and end up needing it so i want some sort of cleat that will allow me to secure the line at any length i want. I found cam cleats allow me to do that quick and easy and in the case that i need to quickly disconnect from the anchor all I'd have to do is tug on the line and pull up to disconnect. I have a few questions about this cleat though. Will it hold strong enough onto the line to not slip and be completely secure? And i noticed that all the cam cleats I've seen are small and only allow for 2 screws to secure the cleat onto the kayak and i question if that will be secure enough to support the whole weight of the kayak and myself while the (light) current is trying to take me downstream. Any advice would really help because i cant find any reliable advice on this especially when paired with an anchor trolley and i dont want the cleat straight up tearing out of the kayak when the anchor catches or the line slipping.

TLDidn’tR Tthose work well. You can put a pad eye over the top to keep the line captured when you pulll up to release it.
