I just got home from Dicks with a brand new lifetime Teton 100. The store was super busy and they only had one of these left (I visited three others in my area that were out of stock) and they helped me load it up. Upon getting home, I put it carefully in my garage and was inspecting it and setting everything up and found a hole on the nose that looks like it melted, and significant dents in the hull. Does anyone have any advice? Is this kayak done for? Is it worth attempting a repair? Should I seek reimbursement/refund? I already filed a claim with Lifetime and I honestly do not want to risk returning it if they do not have the same or better for the price I paid (somewhat discounted). Any help is appreciated!

  1. DizzySkunkApe on

    You should return it immediately.

How on earth did no one notice this? Did it happen on the way home?

  2. Id imagine the fact its damages would warrant an even further discount in the name of keeping your business

That being said id act and call them now before waiting so they can’t blame it on you took it out
