I was gifted this Moken Kayak last year, and I’m now starting to buy gear to get myself set up. I recently bought myself a paddle, ascend kayak fishing bag, and a Scotty’s kayak fishing starter kit. In terms of gear I know I need but do not have yet; life preserver & net.
I do not plan on going on the ocean(yet.) The plan for the moment is NorCal Rivers and Lakes.
If anyone can give me some advice on what other gear I may need that would be amazing. And I know fishing spots are hard to give up, but if anyone has any good spots on lakes or rivers within a few hours of Sacramento to get myself going would also be much appreciated. Open to all species.
