I’ve done some research but I don’t really think he fits into any illness/disease category. None of his scales are fuzzy looking. Water quality is fine. He’s a pretty laid back guy (never been aggressive) so I doubt it’s stress. Water temp is at 72. I keep tannins in the tank. He has 3 rasbora’s and an African dwarf frog as tank mates. I don’t really think he’s that old. I’ve maybe had him for a year but he’s a Petsmart fish. I first noticed it a couple days ago and it’s progressing. He’s still eating and acting fine though.

Maybe he is getting more color, not turning white
72?! I’m not an expert so idk if it’s different for some betta types but isn’t it supposed to be around 76-82???
