Already have a St Croix Avid Medium Heavy 7ft, St Croix Premier UL 6’6” both with Shimano Miravel reels. Wanted something else in the middle of the power range. Decided to change up the reel with the Diawa Regal 2500. My wife wanted a “pretty” reel when she comes with me. Testing it out this weekend up in the Moosehead Lake area in Maine.

I use a 2000 size Regal on a 6’6” ML Premier, so we nearly have identical setups. Terrific Smallmouth setup.
