8000 size reel for bass? I guess. Might be considered overkill unless the bass you are pulling in are 50lb stripers

  2. I’m sure they’re usable, but I don’t see why you’d use a baitrunner over a standard spinning reel for targeting bass with artificial lures?

  3. It actually sounds fun to suddenly slam down the drag thingy on any fish if they made little bait runners – which they very well might because I don’t have a purpose for them so don’t pay attention.

That is not a redfish nor even a speck
You are fined for illegal use of a redfish popping cork and artificial shrimp for bass.

Ehhh not sure why it’s bait runner vs bait caster

    Spinning reel vs baitcaster
I usually have both with me at all times unless I’m traveling when it’s usually easier to find reliable spinning portable rods. This is changing more so I’ll probably have both kn next vacation with 4-6pc rods.

  5. That’s pretty much my bluegill setup. I guess it would also work for bass if they’re on the smaller side.

  6. Here I am inshore fishing with a 1000 reel, never thought I’d meet someone on the other end of the spectrum 🤝😂
