Bought a Shimano Clarus 7’ in Med-Lite – Fast action and a NASCI 2500 will probably throw on 10-12lb braid on it and run a fluro ladder. This will be an all purpose rod for the time being and will probably get demoted to a loaner at some point. Got 20% off on both the rod and the reel at TW, I think it’s a decent for 140.
Not sure if the 3000 would have been much different seems like it’s just a bigger spool and a different handle? But it’ll do.
It’s been about 15 years since I last went fishing with my grandfather. So I decided to get back into it, unfortunately most of the old fishing gear my parents sold off and I haven’t really bothered to buy anything before and would just bum my friends gear.
Now the question is…how long till I buy another rod and reel? 😂
