I’d drop the plastic thing and the lead clip .have the lead free running all the way down to the bead and swivel. I’d also make sure everything was dry and I’d put the lead and hair ring inside the pva bag sealed .

I recommend you get some inline leads + solid bag tail rubbers + short and soft hair rig. This will be a very effective combo.
