First of all… what is that rod called that the reel is attached to??
Second, is the carbon X good??*
Third, is the 500 size Flame reel a good replacement for the shakespear that’s on the new Ugly Stik Dock Runner??
* what would be a good size for the CarbonX? a 1000 or the 2000?? I have an unused 2500 pursuit4 i just got with panderra x8 10lb braid + 6 ft of 15lb yozuri pink fluro leader.
It’s mounted on a 7’ ugly stik carbon inshore…
I also have a 7’3’’ ugly stik carbon standard with nothing on it. I was thinking of adding 8lb braid with 10lb leader… is the 2000 overkill in this situation? I see it has 22lbs of drag but my penn2500 only has 10lbs of drag. If I were to get the 1000 could I also use that reel on the dock runner?

Thats an ice fishing rod in the picture. The reel you wanna replace on the dock demon is determined by what you wanna do with it. On my spinning rod I have a 2500 size reel and 20lb briad. On my casting model I have a Ambassador 6500 with 65lb braid
