*spinning rod and reel advice* for medium-large perch and pike. Any advice for casting weight, rod size and reel size? Thinking a fox rage prism x 210cm 3-14g casting weight with a fox prism 1000 size reel? Is this too light? Thanks. (pic of my PB perch for attention)

That’s a solid budget set up for Perch, I took almost the exact set up out for a day and was surprised with the rods performance.

For Perch on finesse type stuff I’d rock an 8lb braid to 8lb Flouro and always carry a few 5-10lb wire traces on you just incase you’re in an area known for Pike or want to use some lures around the top end of your casting weight. What kind of techniques are you using?
