Hi everyone, very new angler here and brand new to surf fishing. Was thinking about this rod as my first rod for surf fishing. Live near Malibu and was thinking striped bass as my target fish. Any advice on a different rod, better target fish or any general advice is appreciated!

I use one for shark fishing, works great. Bass Pro Shop for about $80.00 to $100.00
