Loving my slayer max 12.5 (2022 model). Incredibly stable kayak with tons of storage.
The only “mod” I’ve done myself is adding underseat drawers with the craftsman versastack which are super handy.
I have some mixed feelings about the landing gear, it is very nice, but also kind of a pain to launch the kayak, as the wheels fight you. I’ll eventually swap for airless tires.
The front storage hatch I keep my rain gear, scupper plugs, and extra line in with lots more room to spare. The back of the kayak fits a milk crate tackle box and soft cooler super easily. Also love the tool storage on the right of the seat.
The yak attack side stage pro is pretty sweet. It’s not perfect, but I have reduced the amount of times I slap my other rods on a back cast entirely. it is rare I worry about catching the rods on a tree branch or something similar.
