Thanks everyone for the advice on reinforcing my Landing Gear.. . here are the results

  1. I kept the provided UHMW stiffeners for the inside of the hull but swapped out the backing bars for longer 8” ones. I followed your advice about using a metal plate for the top and went with 1/8” 6061-T6 aluminum. I cut and filed it to match the kayak’s shape, then painted it white with Rust-Oleum to help reduce heat buildup in the sun. I bonded the plates to the hull with marine Goop and bolted the landing gear brackets on top.

    Again, if there’s anything else you think I could do to further improve the reinforcement, I’m all ears.
