The other week I was up in the Pennsylvania mountains trout fishing and was getting thirsty and didn’t have anything with so I thought that I could drink this water. Quite honestly looks like the best drinking water you could ever have. Now a little over a week later I now have giardia and E. coli and life is hell right now
Just a warning DO NOT DRINK IT.

which creek? We’ve had a LOT of rain this year. There is a ton of runoff entering the water system right now. The susquehanna has an extremely high E Coli level right now.

The only untreated water I have ever drank was out of the side of a hill in Oregon, the spring at a cabin in Utah, and the spring at a trout farm In Utah. Best tasting water ever and no illnesses.
It’s perfectly fine to drink. I’ve drank lots of creek water over the years. Of course I always filter it first lol.

If you’re not going to carry water or something to drink, carry a filter straw thing. You’re going to get thirsty. Get well soon!
