They allegedly only stock legals in this lake so I brought my light setup. First cast my reel starts zipping so I thought the drag was just too loose on my new reel. It wasn't. I kinda got a handle on it then it decided to actually run and zipped across the lake. It snapped my line at shore then flopped into some mud and lodged itself in place. Gave me enough time to almost lose a boot and grab it. The small ones are 9 inches.
It was strong for its size. I was really impressed with this fish. I haven't had two fillets fill me up in a long time.
