Caught my first striper in my yak up in Maine. Years of shore fishing for them with no luck, and my first time targeting them on my kayak I ran into the motherload.

Nice. How far north? Hoping to be up in Penobscot Bay (Owls Head) in a couple of weeks.

Congratulations on escaping the shore. The freedom of a yak is amazing. I am in my second season of having one, and it makes a huge difference being able to get to the fish.
Super jealous of fishing in Maine. I lived there as a kid, and definitely want to return one day with my gear. So many species.

Tight lines and soft releases. Keep it keel down.
