Having a friendly discussion and there are quite a few that think this is a spinning rod with micro guides. Been fishing 40 years and never seen a spinning rod with guides like this for spinning. I say casting. What say yall?

I have spinning rods with micro guides. They all start larger to accommodate the way the line leaves the reel on a spinning and taper narrower to the tip.

  2. Casting, nothing to do with microguides all my spinning rods have microguides.
The giveaway is the first guide is small in comparison to the rest, as is the case on all casting rods.

Looks like a casting rod to me based on the lack of a giant initial line guide

Casting. Smaller eyes, and I’m assuming a trigger as well. A spinning rod has larger eyes because the line comes off of the reel in a much wider area than a baitcaster. Some people say it doesn’t matter. They are wrong. If you are mixed and matched, I will make fun of you and catch fish at the end of your cast. It also severely affects casting distance and accuracy, jokes aside.
