Is this hair rig long enough? Been catching them but also losing tons of fish and idk why

Just Google hair rig and look at images and you’ll get a really good understanding of how most people fish them. That rig looks way off without trying to sound harsh, that hook is way too big and looks more like a sea fishing hook that a carp hook and the shank is way too long as well meaning the bait sits totally incorrectly for how a hair rig works, the bait should be much closer to the end of the hook not all the way up the top, will be costing you many fish I would imagine

Try using another hook, preferably a wider gauge and using a 5000KG breaking strength braid, should do the trick 👍
