Bought a Rod and Reel for 20$, Do you guys think this can hook in the ocean?

Bought a 7ft ML travel rod and a 3000 series reel, just wanted to ask if can this handle fishing in the ocean. This is all i can provide right now, being a student and all just testing new hobbies.
