Set a new PB 2 days after setting a new PB.

After catching my PB two days prior(4lb 1oz, 19+”), I one-upped myself and set a new PB. 4lb 6oz, 20+”. Caught this one as the sun was going down, on the edge of some reeds. He spit my hook and took my 4.5” ribbed (for its’ pleasure) Strike King Supa Fry his first go around. Put a 5” watermelon/chartreuse senko on and casted to the same spot and that did the trick.

Medium power 6’6” rod, with 15lb braid to 12lb fluoro leader. 5” senko, weightless and t-rigged on a 3/0 offset worm hook. Normally, I’d use 8lb leader, but the lakes I’ve been fishing have a lot of reeds, lily pads, and weeds.

Alexandria, MN. Sunset. Clear water. Water 74, air temp low 70s. Caught in about 2’ water.
