Debating between these two, what do yall think??

  1. I’m not a huge fan of Pelican, but the catch line isn’t the worst. If it hits your price point and gets you on the water, then hell yeah man! However, I’d be much more inclined to look at something from Perception, like the Outlaw or even Pescador Pro. I just think the boats themselves are of higher quality.

  2. There’s no contest between these 2, the Catch Mode 110 is considerably superior in stability, ergonomics and comfort. The seat alone is almost worth the extra $ while the ability to easily mount a trolling motor with the optional transom adapter is a feature the others don’t have. The Catch Classic 120 was once great as well and it’s still a very good kayak especially considering the attractive price now. I had both the Catch 120 and the Mode 110 – I’d go for the Mode 110 if I had to choose between them now. The only reason I sold the Mode 110 was because I wanted a pedal yak and got a Catch 110 HDII instead.

Pelican all day and I say that because I am still
In a pelican. You can stand in them, seats are decent and they can take a beating. I will say get the one with the rudder it will made tracking easier

If money isn’t a factor the catch. However you can get a much nicer kayak for $1k in the used market. Consider weight as well if you’re going to be roof mounting these on your vehicle

  5. I have basically the same boat as the one on the right. I’ve had a lot of fun with it. I think they’re overpriced here.

  6. Coming from someone who bought a kayak that didn’t have a way to mount a motor because I wanted to save $200. You should always go for the one that you can mount a motor on. You’ll wanna do it later on and regret it.
