Has anyone had any issues setting up their black pack pro handle on the top like this? Would make it pretty convenient to lift off my kayak.
Would make it pretty convenient to lift off my kayak. Just concerned whether the hinge is sturdy enough to support it. Has anyone done this?

I wouldn’t try to lift 100lbs of crap in it like that, but otherwise, should be fine.

Seems unnecessary, as they don’t pose any hinderance putting them on the “right way” per instructions. This way seems like it would cause stress on the clips that hold the lid down. And with the way you mounted your rod holders, the handles won’t be in the way putting them centered by each hinge on the side.
