My parents visited South Korea recently and got me a daiwa bg black 14,000. Yea very big. They are currently coming back to the states so haven’t gotten my hands on it yet but just from the pictures and the specs it seems to be similar size to the bg5000 we have in the states. I plan on using it for bull reds, tarpon and king Mack’s. Is this overkill or ok. The specs are very similar to the bg5000 same weight, spool capacity is bigger however, and from side by side pictures it looks about the same size. I don’t know I have been paranoid about this all day and wondering if I should have gone smaller to like the 8000.
