Are these safe to use for strapping my kayak to my truck?

  1. Yeah those will be fine, i like NRS cam straps. They have a much higher break strength and arent as expensive per foot.

  2. Yes, I use similar to strap my kayak to my trailer. To be sure, to be sure, I use 3 of them. It is the Irish way!

  3. These straps are my favorite cam straps. Been using them for several years and they stay tighter than any other cam strap I’ve used.

    I have those exact straps and I would not recommend. After using for a year or so I would go with regular cam straps.

    I use the cheap RhinoUSA (but made in China) cam straps and they have always been fine. I do add a third strap securing the yak handle to the roof rack just in case. In my experience it doesn’t take as much as you think to hold it down. Just check the tension at every rest stop if it’s a longer trip.

  6. Yes. Almost my favorite besides the ends fraying. One came like that and the other started to.

    Could be user error due to my regarded self.
