Brand New to kayaks, but I've fished all my life. My son and I picked up a lighly used Nirvana Duo12. I can find no owners manual type literature. What are these half round gaps for? Two in front, two in back. Just an available mounting point? For what typically? It has rails too. And this plug on top of the bow… Is this a vent to the hull? Why, and should be so anything with it?

Half spots on the front, back, and sides look like handles to me. The plug is to drain water that may have gotten into the hull
