This has been my favorite rod so far. Tsunami Carbon Shield 7’ 6” M Fast. Running it with the Shimano Stradic FM 3000XG. Super sensitive and I get long casts even with only a 1/4oz jig head. Probably cast it 50 times that morning and landed this 18” Speck Trout, threw back 4-5 undersized before that, and then maybe 20 casts later it snapped. Luckily it’s warrantied but just wanted to share. I’ve only been fishing for 10 months or so and this is the first time it happened to me. Anyways Tsunami’s warranty group was super responsive and is already processing my warranty.

Definitely seems like a defect. Tsunami rods are some of the toughest rods I’ve fished personally. They tend to stand up to a lot of abuse but obviously every rod is different from model to model.
High sticking rods is not good.
