First attempt had some weird hitch at the end. 30lb procast braid to 15lb big game fluoro practicing st the office. Feels like I wasted a lot of Braid though wrapping aroun nd my fingers to keep tension, any tips?

Looks great to me, definitely real good for a second attempt. Keep at it you’ll get better at keeping tension with as little line as possible

Looks good , no tips just practice and it gets better. You can get a FG knot tying tool which helps a bit if you’re tired of wasting line. I personally gave up on FG knots, and just went with a Surgeons knot. Its easier to tie and very strong. I can rig up 3 or 4 rods with a Surgeons knot in the time it takes me to do one FG.

I really wouldn’t worry about it too much as long as it holds. Second best benefit of a leader is only losing a few inches tying on a new one rather then every time you change lures. Far more likely to still lose a bunch in a nasty snag or just old age from my experience
