Look I completely get it’s not gonna be anywhere near the quality of local handmade lures or even what I’ll get at bass pro. But has anyone picked this up, or even Temu gear? How did it handle and did you catch anything.

The stuff inside of it probably isn’t that bad. At least usable. But I think I remember staring at this exact tacklebox because I liked the shelf design but some people thought the construction of the box wasn’t very sturdy. Which I can understand because it looks like its being held up by pretty flimsy plastic.

But there’s probably not much wrong with getting some form of starter tacklebox. Personally, I would get a more mobile tacklebox to put stuff in. Something like a bag. I have a Plano sling bag I use. Pretty decent, though I wish I had a back pack of some kind.

I feel like you’re robbing yourself of part of the fun. I love going to the store and picking things out.

My buddy got one when getting back into fishing I think it’s worth it, gives you a chance to try a lot of things for a good value because you’re going to lose stuff and break stuff and who knows what else. Also I think it’s good for you to find out what you’ll actually use and then you can get into your own niche

I got this one or similar from the same brand and I’ve caught stiff so I think it’s worth it to get some cheap things

  5. Way too much for that. You want to avoid collecting tackle because even when you try not to the tacklebox keeps getting bigger

If you absolutely need an amazon tacklebox I can send you some links but you’re better off picking up some bags of individual components and building rigs set for your target species that way.

  6. I got one of these when I started out too, honestly I think most ppl do too. But you’ll find that besides the hooks and lead, you may only use 20% of the entire setup if that. It’s a “cover all your bases” arrangement so that anybody anywhere in the country can use something from it. It’s good practice to try everything out and when you inevitably lose something, it won’t be a big deal.

But cheap hooks are dull out of the box and cheap lures give you cheap action. You may be better off looking up starter guides in your area and get small packages of lures like a 3 pack of “inline spinners every fisherman should have in the Midwest” for example. You won’t have to play bass pro shop prices, but you also won’t have to pay for Chinese knock offs made from whatever cheap chemicals and materials.
