We all know there will be 2 sides, and I'm fine with that. Either buy a good one already equipped with what you need or…. buy an old plastic bucket and equip it using TEKNOLOGIA hahah

Pics:

  1. Last week I discovered there was a crack on the hull.

  2. Yup this needs fixing. Not sure if the straps caused it, I never tighten them too much but who knows. This blue bucket is older than old. And it was in a pile of old kayaks and canoes under the elements for probably many years hahah

  3. Remenber FLEX TAPE from tv commercials? yep

  4. Some more flex tape, crack fixed.

  5. My proudest achievement: This is the bilge pump. But its also the toilet. And it was free. And it smells good (colonia means cologne).

  6. PVC pipe + pool noodles + some luggage straps from my motorcycle bags = Adjustable footrest. It works really well and its decently easy to adjust. Also added the aliexpress rod holder (got it for free with the main kayak I bought, this is meant for visits, my brother mainly who will use it a few days per year). Its not completely fixed so you can slide it conveniently. It trolls alright.

  7. Padded tall seat, D rings on every available screw, some bungee cord… the blue strap is for standing up and clipping stuff. The padded seat is a camping thing meant to sit on the ground more comfortably. Had it around from my last motorcycle trip around the Alps. Its fixed with a nice orange strap to the plastic seat of the kayakl

8, 9, 10: In action. It al works good which makes it super satisfactory haha. The footrest really adds, the seat makes it just so the butt doesnt hurt and the kidneys just dont get to hurt either. I love when teknologia just works!

11: Busy deck! I also tried an anchor today for the first time. No anchor rig yet, I dont know if I will add it to this kayak meant for visits.

12: You get to dress like a sea ninja.

Disclaimer: I sealed the crack with marine caulk before putting the duck tape haha. And I have ordered one of those "plastic welders" that heat a metal S-shaped piece that you melt into the plastic to reinforce. The tape is just temporary until I can properly stitch the blue bucket.

It performs better than my Old Town Predator 13, I ACTUALLY PREFER USING THIS PIECE OF (blue plastic) RATHER THAN THE PREDATOR. hahahah
