I recently got this for my son and I. We have only had time to take it out and see how steady it is and what not. I want to do some simple mods to make fishing easier for us in it. Ill probably be using it solo and lot more than the both of us going. With that being said, i can remove the front seat and move the back seat forward for a solo trip. Any mods that would work well with this specific kayak? Links would be great. PS: this isnt the exact kayak i wanted but its a $650+ kayak and I only paid $200. Plus I liked the fact I can take my son when he wants to go. Do you guys drill your milk crates to the yak or just strap them down?

I would say two flush mounted rod holders in the rear, and add eye pads or d-rings so you can bungee your crate down in the rear.
No one permanently attaches the crate to the rear.
