One of the reels I use for Texas-rigging soft plastics failed. It started making a racket, and the braking became erratic. I popped the spool off and the gold-anodized collar was loose. I found this video which described to problem and the repair (I just finished gluing it… time will tell how permanent it it). Just wanted to post this in case anyone else had the same issue (sounds common – going by the comments to the vid).
