my 5 year old son is now into fishing on the dock when are at the lake. Most of the harbors we are fishing (Minnesota) hold bass and pike, so I like to cast alongside him. Just picked up this rod. What type of line should I put on it? Will mainly be fishing with soft swimbaits, crankbaits, and spinner baits. Was looking at 20lb Suffix 832 braid. If I do that, should I also put a fluoro leader on?
